Reflections from the backcounter
Today marks the beginning of summer for the northern hemisphere. Oh if it were true for the Sonoran desert. We are into our first week of serious heat advisories and there is no let up in sight. It is really hot today in excess of 110 degrees. This calls for some serious summer food that does not require the oven. Efforts to keep the kitchen and house cool are of paramount importance. I am craving gazpacho and so will probably have that on the menu soon.
